¿Quiénes somos

International Institute for Learning, Inc.

Headquartered in New York City with operating companies in nine nations around the world, International Institute for Learning (IIL) has proven to be a true world leader in Project, Program, and Portfolio Management.

In fact, IIL's 15-year history has been dedicated to providing project managers and their companies with education and all-around support for maximum effectiveness. That is our core business and capability. We've worked hard to assure that what comes "out of the box" for our clients is highly useful, complete, and easily tailored to actual business needs.

We offer a suite of Project Management courses for general and IT professionals that is anchored on solid principles and delivered with real-world knowledge. Our instructors are consistently rated excellent by their participants - skilled at lending a sense of discovery to the learning process and in motivating project managers to apply what they've learned back to the workplace.

Our Project Management curriculum covers everything from the basic to the sophisticated, and other IIL courses support project managers in related areas such as Six Sigma, where we are a leader in integrating two powerful but often separate disciplines.

Flexibility is built into our standard way of working, including our "off the shelf' courses and tools. We assure you of convenient courses just as we have provided them last year to clients in over 40 nations and virtually in another 100 countries. We not only use, but have mastered, the wide array of technologies available to provide education when and where an individual is best able to learn. This includes traditional classroom, instructor-Ied virtual classroom, asynchronous eLearning, computer-aided simulation, videoconferencing, videos, webcasts, and more.

Our certification pathway is top notch. IIL was one of the very first charter global members of the Project Management Institute's registered education provider program and has worked closely with PMIQ!) on strategic and operational initiatives for the last 15 years (see below). In addition, university transcripts are offered through partnerships with the prestigious University of Chicago Graham School of General Studies and the USC Marshall School of Business.

The Best Partner

IIL prides itself on being a client-driven company. We deliver on that every day, investing the time and energy needed to grow the profession as well as our business. We work closely with our clients ¬asking, listening, and responding with the new courses and tools. Two of our most highly successful eLearning and software tools were developed jointly with two large, leading clients, Celestica and Alcatel.

While clients often find our "out of the box" solutions a complete and effective plan, our instructional design and development group can work closely with you to leverage IIL courseware to the specific goals, jobs, ski lis gaps, and other factors unique to your environment. Our designers often conduct needs analyses with clients to determine the amount of customization needed. And they frequently help clients to clarify their needs, formulate goals or better define content.

Customization is the IIL way, not the exception. You can rely on us for efficient, flexible, and sure tailoring on individual courses or entire curricula.

Our Track Record

IIL presents solid evidence of our ability. We serve global clients like AT&T, Alcatel, Deutsche Bank, SAP, Sita, and Kautex with innovative, flexible, cost-effective training set at the highest professional and academic standards.

At SAP one of the world's leading business software solutions providers, IIL helped to integrate Project Management into the overall global business strategy. IIL created a 5-day "PM Fundamentals" program as well as an online environment facilitating a post-class certification exam and evaluation site. Overall we trained 1,200 project managers in 22 nations over just a few months to support the effective rollout and adoption of SAP's global Project Management methodology and to help increase Project Management maturity. Satisfaction rates significantly exceeded every performance metric the company sought and custom programs on Leadership, Escalation Management and Requirements and Risk Management are now provided as part of SAP's Phase 2 "PM Excellence" program.

At SITA, the world's leading provider of global lT Telecom solutions to the air transport and related industries, the development of the Project Management training program was based on an Organizational Maturity Assessment utilizing the Kerzner PM Maturity Model.

Our Instructors Deliver the IIL "Edge"

Over 200 senior project professionals work as instructors, consultants, and coaches for IIL worldwide. This enables IIL to provide training in every location our clients need it, whether traditional classroom or virtual, live or asynchronous, and localized for language and culture needs.

AII instructors are selected through a stringent interview process that balances industry and academic excellence with classroom ski lis. And their performance is evaluated constantly. IIL's highly credentialed and experienced instructors, consultants, and subject-matter experts are able to deliver focused learning to clients that yield immediate benefits. In fact, the quality of IIL's people - most especially our instructors - embodies our value and makes the real difference.

Our clients can count on us for:

§  Instructors who consistently deliver tangible value. IIL program evaluations point overwhelmingly to the excellence with which our people communicate real-world knowledge, and the sense of discovery they impart to their classes. Beginning with Dr. Harold Kerzner, a pioneer in modern project management education who joined IIL at its inception as senior executive director, our commitment to instructor excellence extends to every one of our over 200 educators worldwide.

§  Learning approaches that are proven in theory and practice - intellectually right on one hand, but also efficient and effective on the other because they're grounded on deep experience and solid tools and techniques.

§  Course design and customization that is truly tailored, growing both from our professionals' ability and our client care philosophy. We recognize that no lesson is learned unless it is presented in a way that involves students at the moment and in a way they want to learn. Our instructional designers harness their creativity and real-world knowledge to make this happen. And they recognize (a long with all of our people) that the reason we're here is to help you accomplish your goals.

The result of all of this is a focus on total value in training, growth of the professional and organizational improvement.

And UPMMTM provides a balanced approach to Project Management that embodies all of IIL's collective wisdom as well as that of the globally recognized Project Management standard, PMI®?s PMBOK® Guide. With PMBOK®' Guide alignment, our clients have the assurance of knowing it is implementing across the enterprise exactly according to the authoritative, global Project Management standard. (Under license with PMI® we have included 100% of the PMBOK® Guide in UPMMTM).

UPMMTM can complement existing project management methods and quickly increase efficiency and productivity, improve communications and knowledge, get the PMBOK® Guide advantage and accelerate Project Management maturity, among many significant benefits. But UPMMTM is just one of the many ways along with coaching, assessments, needs analyses and customizations in which IIL can help you achieve the most effective project management rollout.

Also, for clients seeking solutions support, we have established a strategic collaboration with Pcubed to ensure our world-class training is reinforced in the working environment with proven, repeatable project management practices.
